Gospel Choir Explosion is a faith-centered competition platform produced by Adonis International — a full-service production company specializing in live events, television programming, and podcasts. First held in 2016 in partnership with Infiniti of South Atlanta, the event brought churches and praise teams together for a celebration of worship, music, and community excellence.

Ten years later, Adonis International is proud to relaunch Gospel Choir Explosion in 2026 — bigger, broader, and built to reach audiences nationwide. The 2026 edition welcomes 100 churches and 100 praise teams to compete across two distinct divisions for cash prizes and national recognition.

OUR MISSION

Gospel Choir Explosion exists to amplify voices, engage communities, and celebrate excellence through worship and music. We believe every church choir and praise team deserves a stage — and that the faith community has talent worth recognizing, rewarding, and sharing with the world.

More than a competition, this is a nine-month platform designed to connect faith-based groups across the country, build visibility for participating churches, and create meaningful moments that go beyond the final award.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Gospel Choir Explosion is open to faith-based groups of all sizes who are passionate about worship and want their music heard on a larger stage. We welcome:

• Church choirs of any size, style, or denomination
• Praise and worship teams from local congregations
• Community gospel groups connected to a church or faith organization
• Groups from across the country — this is a national competition open to participants beyond Georgia

Participants compete in one of two divisions — choirs or praise teams — ensuring a fair and focused competition experience for each group type.

COMPETITION FREQUENCY

Gospel Choir Explosion is not an annual event — it is a signature production that Adonis International brings to life when the platform is ready to deliver a high-quality, meaningful experience. The original event was held in 2016, and the 2026 edition marks its official relaunch. Each competition runs over a nine-month campaign period, giving participants, audiences, and communities ample time to engage at every stage.

The 2026 relaunch is just the beginning. With 100 churches and 100 praise teams set to compete, a live televised finale, and a growing national audience, Gospel Choir Explosion is building toward becoming one of the most recognized platforms for faith-based music competition in the country. Future goals include expanding the reach of each competition cycle, growing the number of participating divisions, and continuing to give gospel groups the visibility and recognition they deserve.
